My name’s Souliya PHOUMIVONG you can call me “ Sai “ . Born in 1983 , Vientiane .
Education : Bachelor of Art , Major in Painting , at National Institute of Fine Arts (NIFA) , Vientiane , Lao PDR
Present , I’m a teacher at (NIFA) ,Vientiane . my work is about Laos landscape, life and culture. I work in water color , acrylic and oil . I am, nowadays starting a new body of work in contemporary art and media art , especially media arts : photography and video . Few people work with media art here,yet i`m interested to further my study and work with digital media. I would like to participate in the opening of this field in the lao art scene so it can evolve in a variety of medium not only painting and sculpture .

On 18 january – 05 febuary 2010 . I had the chance to join a workshop with a great media art team from National Art school of Bourges , France in Luang Prabang province in Laos . This is the most wonderful workshop that I have ever joined , the french team were able to transmit technical knowledge in video editing and everything I ever wanted to know about technologies, but also they gave me critical feedback on my work.

As a young lao teacher who haven’t had access to media art and technique like editing , animation and etc … those three weeks able me to produce more than 10 of short movies fiction documentaries, uses of special effects, and work with sound. This is a great experience and it gave meaning of my work, I will continue to produce even more to improve my skill ( if I have another chance like this one, it would great ).One of the most important output is that I will transfer my knowledge to all student who are interested in new media art.
It will give them a chance to produce new kind of arts that they never have done before and in near future lao’s arts societies will have variety of Arts .

ຂ້ອຍຊື່ ສຸລິຍາ ພູມີວົງ ຫຼື ເອີ້ນສັ້ນໆວ່າ *ຊາຍ* ເກີດເມື່ອວັນທີ 09.12.1983 ທີ່ວຽງຈັນ , ຂ້ອຍຮຽນຈົບວິຊາສິລປ໌ ປີ 2008 ຂະແໜງ ຈິດຕະກຳ ທີ່ສະຖາບັນວິຈິດສິລປ໌ ແຫ່ງຊາດລາວ , ດຽວນີ້ຂ້ອຍເປັນອາຈານສອນຢູ່ທີ່ ສະຖາບັນວິຈິດສິລປ໌ແຫ່ງຊາດລາວ ທີ່ວຽງຈັນ . ຜົນງານຜ່ານມາຂອງຂ້ອຍສ່ວນຫຼາຍແມ່ນ ແຕ້ມຮູບສີນຳ້ ແລະ ສີນຳ້ມັນ ກຽ່ວກັບວິຖີຊີວິດ ແລະ ວັດທະນະທຳຂອງລາວ ແລະ ຂ້ອຍກໍສົນໃຈໃນສິລປ໌ຮ່ວມສະໃໝແບບຕ່າງ ແລະ ນອກເໜືອຈາກສິລປ໌ໃນດ້ານວິຈິດສິລປ໌ ແລະ ປະຕິມະກຳແລ້ວ ດຽວນີ້ຂອຍແມ່ນມີຄວາມສົນໃຈຫຼາຍກ່ຽວກັບ ການ ຖ່າຍພາບ, ວິດີໂອ ແລະ ການຕັດຕໍ່ໜັງຕ່າງໆ ເພາະຂ້ອຍຄິດວ່າ ວຽກທາງດ້ານນີ້ຄວນມີການພັດທະນາໃຫ້ແຜ່ຫຼາຍເພື່ອ ເປັນການສ້າງໂສມໜ້າໃໝ່ໃນວົງການການສ້າງງານສິລະປະໃນເມືອງລາວໃຫ້ມີຄວາມຫຼາກຫຼາຍ ບໍ່ພຽງແຕ່ ງານຈິດຕະກຳ ແລະ ປະຕິມະກຳເທົ່ານັ້ນ.

ແລະ ໃນວັນທີ 18 ມັງກອນ - 05 ກຸມພາ 2010 ຂ້ອຍໄດ້ມີໂອກາດເຂົ້າຮ່ວມເຮັດວຽກ ແລະ ຮຽນເຕັກນິກວິທີການຕ່າງໆກ່ຽວກັບ ການຖ່າຍພາບນິ້ງ, ວິດິໂອ ແລະ ການຕັດຕໍ່ໜັງສັ້ນ ໃນຄອມພິວເຕີ ແບບທີ່ຂ້ອຍບໍ່ເຄີຍພົບມາກ່ອນ ໂດຍການແນະນຳ ຈາກ ທີມງານ ອາຈານ ແລະ ນັກສຶກສາ ທີ່ເກັ່ງໃນດ້ານນີ້ ຈາກເມືອງບວກເຊີ ປະເທດ ຝຼັ່ງ . ສຳລັບຂ້ອຍ ຖືວ່າ ທີມງານດັ່ງກ່າວເປັນທີມທີ່ດີທີ່ສຸດ ເພາະ ສຳລັບຂ້ອຍເອງຈາກຄົນທີ່ບໍ່ເຄີຍຮູ້ກ່ຽວກັບວຽກງານນີ້ມາກ່ອນ , ພຽງແຕ່ສາມອາທິດຂ້ອຍສາມາດ ມີຄວາມເຂົ້າໃຈໃນເຕັກນິກວິທິການຕ່າງໆ ບໍ່ວ່າຈະເປັນການ ຖ່າຍພາບ , ຕັດຕໍ່ວິດີໂອ , ເຮັດອານີເມຊັ້ນ ແລະ ອື່ນໆ ດັ່ງທີ່ຂ້ອຍສາມາດ ສ້າງ ໜັງສັ້ນ ໄດ້ຫຼາຍກວ່າ 10 ເລື່ອງ . ນີ້ເປັນປະສົບການທີ່ມີຄວາມໝາຍທີ່ສຸດສຳລັບຊີວິດອງຂ້ອຍ ແລະ ຂ້ອຍເອງຈະສືບຕໍ່ເຮັດວຽກນີ້ ເພື່ອການພັດທະນາທັກສະ ຄວາມສາມາດຂອງໂຕຂ້ອຍເອງໃຫ້ຫຼາຍຂື້ນ ( ຖ້າມີໂອກາດໄປຮຽນຕໍ່ໃນດ້ານນີ້ສະເພາະແຫ່ງເປັນການດີ ) ແລະ ທີ່ສຳຄັນຂ້ອຍຈະນຳເອົາຄວາມຮູ້ດັ່ງກ່າວກັບໄປ່ທ່າຍທອດໃຫ້ນັກສຶກສາຜູ້ທີ່ມີຄວາມສົນໃຈໃນສິລປ໌ຂະແໜງນີ້ ໃຫ້ເຂົາເຈົ້າໄດ້ມີໂອກາດສ້າງສັນ ງານສິລປ໌ແບບໃໝ່ໆເພື່ອສ້າງໃຫ້ວົງການສິລປ໌ໃນເມືອງລາວມີຄວາມຫຼາກຫຼາຍຂຶ້ນໃນອານາຄົດ.
